When you have a look at the full Dynon Skyview set of instruments in the Flight Design CTLS ( Demonstrator in New Zealand and Australia ) you see that the virtual terrain presentation on the artificial horizon is completely accurate with the real vision out of the window. These instruments are still in the non certified category but it will be sooner than later that every commercial airliner will have the same set-up. In that respect it is very exciting that we now live in times where these sort of instruments are affordable in the micro light and experimental classes and as long as you realise that at the end of the day we have to look outside, we are surrounded by instruments and presentations that make the old Boeing and Airbus drivers full of envy.
