Thursday 9th January, Tim visited Bill Izard to checkout his new business venture building Propellers. Recently Bill took over Brent Thompson’s business of crafting new Propellers for a whole range of aircraft. The workshop is adjacent to Bill’s home in Kihikhi, Waikato and being set up to cover all the aspects of manufacture and finishing of high quality propellers. I got to have a peek at the ‘top secret’ propeller shaping machine and once setup it beavers away cutting beautiful and accurate shapes from a set of master props.
